I'm loving altering canvases at the moment. As leaving presents for Freya's teachers i made all three of them a 7"x5" canvas to decorate their classrooms. The idea for making them came from my own cupcake canvas that I made for ME!!!!
I really tried to make them all so different to each other. Hope they like them and can remember what a wonderful little girl that Freya is as well as being a delight to teach.
Our thanks go to Lucy, Jackie (teaching assistant) and Georgina for looking after Freya in her final year of infant school and preparing her for the step up to the juniors in September.
Teachers are the educators of our future. Without them we would have no doctors, scientists, academics, pioneers or indeed any other member of the community who perform so many of the unrecognised, thankless tasks. We are lucky in the UK to have such a fantastic team of teachers working with our children.

Did you get the odd spot of rain too?
WOW!!! Did the rain come down on Sunday afternoon!!!!
(For those of a nervous or delicate disposition, I urge you to look away now as this post has (top) half naked images of my son and my husband! LOL LOL)
We reminded Jacob that when he was little we used to put his feet out of the door and into the rain so that he could get his toes wet and totally squeal with delight. His answer?
"Can I go out in the rain now then and get wet?"
"Yes, of course you can! So he did!"
You can see just how heavy the rain came down. The ground is so hard at the moment that it just couldn't absorb the sheer quantity of what was coming down, the drains overflowed and the water ran like a river.
So, then skinny boy gets skinny man out in the rain too!! What a pair they look. Not an ounce of fat to share between them (sickening eh?!)
Who decides it's time to sit out on our lovely new patio and sunbathe (or should I say rust?)
Before they head off to play on Freya's trampoline. (Note here who had the most photos taken as he was on it for the longest!)

Save our School Children!
This photo was taken of me and my mum in around 1974 when I was 6 years old. Although you could see my school from the bottom of the small street that we lived in, the route to get there was a across a busy road which was being turned into a dual carriageway.
Mum led a safety campaign to have an underpass built during the widenening of the road. Part of this campaign involved this photograph appearing in our local evening paper. Mum won and we got the underpass that's still in used today.
The inspiration for making his page came from a Circle Journal that I'm doing for Karen over on Bubbly Funk. I've decided that for every CJ entry I do, I'm going to make myself a page using the same photograph(s) - however embarrassing they may be!!!!!
The papers are pretty funky, don't you think? They're from the SEI Hippie Chick range which I've cut out to make funky lace, doodled on and then glittered using Stickles. There is journalling on the tag tucked under the photo.

All the colours of the rainbow!
While we were at Springfields today, we had a walk through their magnificant looking gardens and came across this little brightly coloured maze. Well, you can't help but take some photos of Will and the kids when you have your camera handy with such fab colours on such a lovely, sunny day, can you?
Just noticed, the kids are both wearing their new sandals too! Kids eh? Can't even wait until they get home to wear their new shoes! LOL!!!

New Shoes!
We went shopping today for holiday clothes for Will and Jacob and just look what I found in the Clarks' outlet shop in Springfield at Spalding for me!
There was only one pair in the shop and just perfect that they were a size 3 - I chucked my other shoes straight in the bag and never took these little beauties off my feet again! Wonder if I can sleep in them??? LOL
They are as comfy cosy as they look and great for cropped trousers!

Sneaky peek...
This month's mini kit from Bubbly Funk is absolutely full of gorgeousness!
Once again Caroline has excelled herself in putting together a kit of goodies with which to play (once you can stop stroking the contents, that is!)
So.... just to tease you, here are some sneakies...
You'll have to wait to see the rest of what I made until kit release day!

Look who I met up with...
I had a lovely drive to Atherstone in Warwickshire on Saturday (nearly didn't get there, but that's another story!) I was going to meet this lovely lady.
Kirsty was doing a demo at Prima Crafts in Atherstone and as it is only an hour's drive from me, we had arranged for me to pop over so that we could finally meet up.
I only blogged this next photo because I promised I would mwahahaha!
Don't let the face of innocence ever tell you that she eats healthily - because she luvs da cake! (Fresh cream, lemon curd and light, luscious sponge, who could ask for more....? Well we both could have but we never got another slice!
This is one seriously talented and modest lady, I can tell you. Oh so funny and oh so very friendly too.
... and judging by this last photos as much of a posing tart as I am LOL!!!

Chipboard
Do you see chipboard shapes and don't know what to do with them?
If you already use it and want a little more inspiration on how to decorate it, then why not pop over to Craft Journal to see what I've been doing with it recently.
Don't forget to share your chipboard creations with me.

Cinema
I cooked Will his favourite tea tonight for our wedding anniversary and then promptly went out with my friend to the cinema.
Can you believe that Sex in the City isn't on anymore? We were gutted!! So we joined the back of the queue, complete with my Orange mobile phone and code number to enjoy the freebie that is 2-4-1 on Wednesdays (pair of cheapskates!!! LOL) and went to see Hancock which stars Will Smith. Any film that that guy is in has to be good, doesn't it? Although Hancock isn't the best film I've ever seen, I really did enjoy it; it's funny, it's cringe-worthy, it's good over evil and it's a love story in parts. Both Louise and I gave it a thumbs up and agreed that our 12 year old boys would love it! (Just a note of caution to parents out there, there is the odd swearword that you may not want the kids to repeat in front of the grandparents - be warned!)
We weren't late back, but came back to find Will and the kids all tucked up in their beds and Will laying listening to his iPod - do you think he missed me? Nah! I don't think so either!
I had a lovely evening with a lovely friend so I was more than happy. Louise and I don't see each other anyway near as much as we should, especially considering we live so close to each other, but I loves that girl! (Otherwise known as MILF to Will!!!! LMFAO!!)

I'm excited now!
You know when you do something and don't hear anything for a while, so forget all about it because you think you've been overlooked? Well.....
I applied to be on the Debbi Moore Design Team way back in November 2007 and didn't hear anything until February this year when I was sent an envelope which contained my cards that I had submitted to them. Oh well! I thought, never mind, there is someone far more talented than I am that has been chosen to design for them. At least they had the courtesy to return my cards to me.
Then I read the letter!!!! In black and white, printed on their letterhead it firmly states that they want me to design some cards for them! How cool is that?!
I signed the enclosed confidentiality agreement as I'll be privy to fabulous, new, unreleased, products and returned it but heard no more.
Until....... dah! dah! daaaaaah!!!
Today in my inbox there was a lovely email from Debbi apologising for the delay and re-confirming her offer for me to be one of her Card Designers. MY CARDS ARE GONNA BE ON TELLY! ;-) LMFAO!!!! My first kit of luscious goodies will be winging their way to me in the next day or so.....
I can't wait to get them and start playing. Watch this space to see what I create.

Wedding Anniversary
It's my 20th wedding anniversary today!! I can't believe where all those the years have gone if I'm honest! Is it really 20 years since I walked down the aisle to meet Will standing at the altar, probably as nervous as I was?
Yes, we've had our ups and downs; I mean, don't all married couples? But the art of marriage or relationships is that you work through them as best you can. Only another 30 years to go until we catch my parents up who celebrated their 50th anniversary at the end of March this year.
Will knows it, but I want you to all know it too - I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!!!
Oh, and by they way, I'm going to the cinema with a friend tonight to watch Sex in the City while Will stays at home and babysits the kids HAHAHAHAHA!
