Bubbly Funk - Circle Journal

I've been doing a Circle Journal over on Bubbly Funk since last year. It seems so long ago that I posted my own journal to Tracey and can't wait to get it back.

This entry is the penultimate for Chris on her chosen subject of 'Seasons'. Being as we're just entering Spring, I chose that as my theme. Pastel colours with a little bit of bling to lift the pages.

One more to go and that's Tracey's Coaster CJ - it's gorgeous so far.

Circle Journal

This CJ is for Kathy. I've made it for the Bubbly Funk CJ swap. Kathy's theme was 'A Festival of Flowers'. Now the CJ has left my grubby little paws I'll show you.

The papers are my fave - BasicGrey from their Sugared line. I wanted to keep it very clean and fresh. Not too fussy or too overpowering, hence the white space. Hope she likes it!!!!

Circle Journal

This is the entry that I've done into Maxine's CJ over on Bubbly Funk. The theme was colours. It's looking wonderful and bright already. I'm sure Maxine will love it when she finally gets it home again next year.

Save our School Children!

This photo was taken of me and my mum in around 1974 when I was 6 years old. Although you could see my school from the bottom of the small street that we lived in, the route to get there was a across a busy road which was being turned into a dual carriageway.

Mum led a safety campaign to have an underpass built during the widenening of the road. Part of this campaign involved this photograph appearing in our local evening paper. Mum won and we got the underpass that's still in used today.

The inspiration for making his page came from a Circle Journal that I'm doing for Karen over on Bubbly Funk. I've decided that for every CJ entry I do, I'm going to make myself a page using the same photograph(s) - however embarrassing they may be!!!!!

The papers are pretty funky, don't you think? They're from the SEI Hippie Chick range which I've cut out to make funky lace, doodled on and then glittered using Stickles. There is journalling on the tag tucked under the photo.

Bubbly Funk CJ

The Bubbly Funk CJ is coming to an end now and the journals will soon be home with their owners (can't wait!)

This was my entry into Tracey's journal. Her theme was colours. Initially I felt quite daunted to do my entry as there are some SERIOUSLY wonderful entries before me and the standard was HIGH!

My mojo just jumped up and hit me on this one last Friday night and this is what I came up with...

The paper is Frolic from UrbanLily. It was a plain black and white which I doodled with various colours and then coloured them in with a matching chalk. The chalks were sealed using hairspray (any old cheapy one will do). I then added some journalling with a white Sakura gel pen. Added some Prima flowers each centred with a little gem.

On the whole I'm quite pleased with this little entry. Hope Tracey is too!

The theme is Black and White with one accent colour.

Bubbly Funk Circle Journal

There is another CJ just starting over at Bubbly Funk. My theme this time is 'My Favourite Memory'. When it came down to it I couldn't just think of one so I chose 3 - my wedding day, the birth of my son and the birth of my daughter. Is that cheating to choose 3 do you think? Anyway I took it down with me to Cornwall to give to Karen as she is the one I post to. It won't be back 'home' for another 9/10 months. So to remind me what I did here are the photos...
