Will's mum and dad 20th December 1940

Going to scrapbook this photo for Will. He no longer has either of his parents alive so will be a nice thing for him to have.

Am also going to get a copy of my own parent's wedding photo to create a page for them too.

Just married ......... well, ok, 2nd July 1988

I was scanning my in-laws wedding photo onto my computer so that I can do a scrapbook page of it. Will has neither of his parents still alive so thought it would be a nice thing for him to have.

While I was on the subject, I decided to scan my wedding photo in - so for a laugh - this is what Will and I looked like almost 19 years ago! HAHAHA

As promised...... here it is!

Haha! As promised, just to give you a laugh - a piccy of me in the truck!

Had to wait until it was mucky to show you otherwise it would look like (a) a posh bird's shopping car or (b) a Chelsea Tractor. Decided not to show the version with me on the stepladder getting into the bloody thing! Only joking about the stepladder - I have to stand on the running board at the side to get up to the drivers seat!

Rutland Water

What a lovely day today - bright spring sunshine, fairly warm too, so we deciced to take the kids and the dog to Rutland Water (Europe's largest man made reservoir) which is about 20 minutes away. Loaded the bikes into the truck and off we went.

Still a bit muddy and wet in the trees but the kids had a great time cycling through it - beware washing machine, you've got serious work to do! Had Maisy off the lead for pretty much the whole of the walk and she behaved too! OOh, apart from one point where she found a couple of people sitting on a bench and decided to sit on the bloke's knee! Quick apology later, we retrieved the dog!

Freya pretty tired by the time we got back to the truck, bless her she was just nodding off when we got home. She'll sleep well tonight!!

Had to bath Maisy as soon as we got in - disadvantage of having a white dog on a muddy walk through the woods! Will got the short straw there while I was cooking dinner. Needless to say he looked as much of a drowned rat as Maisy did!

Took a few photos which I'll add to my gallery in a mo if you wanna have a look. http://picasaweb.google.com/House.of.Freycob

Right, jobs to do - catch ya later! x

What not to do with a hangover!

Woke up at 3.30am this morning - wide awake and not a little bit due to more wine being consumed than possibly I should have last night!!! Came downstairs for a cold drink in the hope that it would rehydrate my brain and stave off a hangover. Fell asleep on the sofa downstairs before returning to bed just before 6am.

Ouch! The water didn't help - my head was banging when I got up - but after eating breakfast and having a quick cuppa it was off to the office to pack everything up and move it to our new office.

WOW, what an amazing difference!!! - the new office is over 3 times the size of the old one, not to mention that the floor is also level - no whizzing down the office if you move in the wrong direction in your chair! HAHA! It's modern, bright and with 3 huge windows - very airy feeling.

Didn't get home until after 5pm so am feeling rather jaded now!

BUT GOOD NEWS - was so busy and am so knackered now that the hangover has gone and is forgotten.

So, for all those out there searching for the ultimate hangover cure - move offices!!!

I'm a happy mummy!!!!

FANTASTIC news!!!! We had to put Jacob's application in to choose his secondary school by the end of October last year and finally heard today that he got his place at our first choice - Brooke Weston City Technology College in Corby. The county league tables were published last night in the local newspaper - again the school was placed at number 1 in Northamptonshire.

He had to sit an entrance test in November last year just after his 11th birthday, so it's been a long anxious wait for us all. No doubt it has seemed much longer for Jacob.

It is consistently in the top 5 comprehensive schools in England. Can't wish for a better educational opportunity for him. Just hope that he can use this fabulous opportunity that he's been given to his best abilities.

You can't imagine how proud I feel of my son at the moment. He is top of the tree in my eyes. Smart boy that his is, he managed to take a slight advantage of his dad (following 4 pints while we were out for dinner with friends) and con him out of £25.00 as a reward for getting in. That was on top of £5 he got from his Grandad - little monkey! HAHA!

Well done Jacob, I am so proud of you and love you to bits.

Congratulations Will

Will had an interview at noon today - and got a phone call at 4.30pm offering him the job!

He has got to wait for the letter of confirmation to be emailed to him before he can make the final decision about whether to accept and hand his notice in at work.

Knew he could do it - am sooo proud of him! Love him to bits!

Always knew he looked good in a shirt and tie ;)
