Rosie-Dee's Challenges

Helloooooooo!!! Hope you've all enjoyed the sunshine this weekend as we have. It's been glorious to say the least!

It's my turn over on Rosie-Dee's to set the challenge and this week I'd like you to triple emboss. I had a little dabble last week stamping into hot, melted embossing powders so this week I've gone slightly different and I love the effect it's given me! I must say it reminds me of the plastic covered table cloths you can get HAHAH!!!

Anyhoo... here's your sneaky peek....

Rosie-Dee's Challenges

Sneaky peek...

I made a simple card for a sad occasion. So much sadder when it's for a friend.

BasicGrey Challenge

I'm late with my BasicGrey Challenge card this week due to lots going on last week and a headache that lasted from Saturday through to Friday lunchtime :-(

We had visitors this weekend so we've been a very busy household, out and about enjoying the sunshine (while it lasts!).

My card for the 35th Challenge - Ice Cream looks like this... Based on good old neopolitan ice cream no less!

Brown 7.5x21cm card.
Papers: BasicGrey Two Scoops & Granola.
Jute Ribbon: Opitec.
Inkpad: Colorbox.
Flowers: Prima.
Gem: Patti's Pretties.

Debbi Moore - As seen on TV!!!

Debbi Moore was on Create and Craft TV at 6pm last night with the premier of a new Sepia CD and her Regency stamps. I had a call from Debbi last Monday to ask if I could do some samples urgently for the show. A quick email later with some PDF files and using the gorgeous stamp set that I already had, I set to creating these.

On 15th April I found a lovely idea on Debbie's blog. It was a Pay It Forward. You make a handmade gift for the first 3 people to leave a comment on your blog and they in turn send a handmade gift to their first 3 comment leavers.

I had 4 lovely people leave me a comment so I decided to make all 4 of them a little notebook: They were for:

Gez
Marie
Deanne
Beth

Ladies, I hope you enjoy your little notebook and use it to make your lists! If you're anything like me, you NEED lists to remember what you need to do!

I received a gorgeous goody stuffed envelope from Debbie's Pay it Forward that I need to photograph to share with you.

Sneaky peeks revealed

A while back (25th April to be exact) I gave you a sneaky peek of a couple of cards I made but didn't reveal the whole piccie. The reason was that I was applying for a DT place over on 2 Sketches 4 You, but unfortunately I didn't make the grade :-( I'll just have to keep playing along with the sketches.

So, to reveal my entries....

They were both created from sketches by Kazan and Laura.

Materials:
White5 1/4" cards.
Papers (very old) from my stash and I really can't rememeber who they're by (sorry!)
Hessian ribbon: Opitec.
Tag: a pair of Jacob's jeans.
Ribbon: Ribbon mad.
Twine: Opitec.
Pins: Ebay.
Inkpad: Colorbox.
Rub on: Fancy Pants.

BasicGrey Challenge

I'm late posting this one up but I did actually make it the middle of last week. I didn't upload it as it was going to the USA to cheer up my aunt who's having a hip-op on 21st. Hopefully this'll make Aunty Gill feel a bit better! Hopefully she'll be on her feet in not time at all.

Materials:
White A5 card.
Papers: BasicGrey Eva.

Laura set this week's 2 Sketches 4 You sketch for us to follow.

Kathy's sketch 2009 #10; Take 5

Kathy's Waffle Sketch this week made me think a little bit on what I wanted to do. I rotated the sketch and came up with this...

I decided to use one of the gorgeous ranges of papers from Kirsty Wiseman's Patti Picklicious CD for this card. This range is called Mojito. It's so bright and funky, I love it!

Materials:
White 8 1/2" x 4" White card.
Papers: Kirsty Wiseman's Patti Picklicious 'Mojito'
Accents: Kirsty Wiseman's Patti's Pretties.
Flowers: Prima.

BasicGrey Challenge

There is a colour combo challenge this week over on the BasicGrey Challenges blog. You have to use black, grey and one other colour which I've chosen to be orange.

White 5 1/4" square card.
Papers: BasicGrey Ambrosia.
White pen: Sakura.
Ribbon: John Lewis.
Flowers: Aunty Sarah's.
Inkpad: Pretty Colour.
Tag: WH Smith.

Daring Card Makers

This week's DCM dare goes like this...

Now onto this week and its Vanessa here to set the dare. I don’t know why I came up with this one, but for some reason I’ve been singing away to Old MacDonald, you know the song “Old MacDonald had a farm, Ee I ee I oh! And on that farm he had some .........”

Now, I don't know how many of you know this, but Old MacDonald actually had a butterfly farm (hehe!) so to celebrate the fact, I made this card...

Materials:
White A6 card.
Paper: October Afternoon.
Butterflies: Amy Butler.
Sentiment tag: K&Co packaging.
Fineline pen: Stabilo.

Patti Picklicious

I've been dabbling with Kirsty's gorgeous Patti Picklicious CD again and have chosen to use the turquoise/brown "Mucky Knees" collection this time.

All the papers come from the CD, I've only added some ribbon, some jute ribbon, some jute string, an inkpad or two and some of Kirsty's lovely Patti's Pretties. If you don't already have this CD, then I highly recommend you treat yourself. The quality of the images is FANTASTIC!!!!!! It's well laid out and very easy to use.

I had a bit of a mammoth printing episode the other day so I'll be back with some more when I've made them up.
