Rosie-Dee's Week 6

This was my challenge for Week 6...

Right then.... week 6 already and it's my turn again. A nice easy one this week. With Christmas approaching far too quickly for my liking, we'd like you to make a Christmas card using Christmas patterned paper. Easy peasy!

And this is what I made for it.

I used the DCWV Christmas stack for the printed paper.

My handsome son...

I've been scrapping pictures of my son, Jacob. I found some photos from when he was 2 and 3 years old and decided to give these a make-over along with a more recent photo from 2006! I know, there's a big gap between the photos, but I'm on the hunt for some more to do to fill the gaps in.

The cardstock is DCWV white core, which I've distressed the edges of using a paper scratcher. Ribbons are from Fancy Pants and Ribbon Mad. The chipboard heart and the Calendar Turn are both Maya Road.

Cardstock is DCWV white core, patterned paper is We Are Memory Keepers Explore White Out Range. Letters are cut using a Sizzix die. Journalling tag from Adornit. Brads are PaperMania. Ribbon is Ribbon Mad. buttons are BasicGrey and from stash.

Cardstock is DCWV White core. Patterned paper is We Are Memory Keepers Explore White Out Range. Chipboard words are We R Memory Keepers.

Family page

This photo was taken of me and my two wonderful kids on Hayling Island in July 2006.

I just love the bright sunshine and clear blue sky, so typical of that holiday.

The blue cardstock is DCWV white core (and for once I didn't distress it to reveal the core!) The scalloped circle I love was a Rhonna Farrer. The black chipboard is Cosmo Cricket - this stuff is GREAT!!!! I just tarted it up a touch with a silver metallic pen. Adding a little doodling to finish it off. Ribbons from Ribbon Mad

Craft-ED Products

I came across these two photos last night when I was looking for something else. They were begging to be scrapped. They were taken aboard our friends' cruiser "New Life" when she was moored at Fotheringhay (famous for where Mary Queen of Scots was beheaded and buried).

All paper/card products are from DCWV - available from Craft-ED. Contact me for details. The wave, flower paper clip and tab are cut using a Sizzix dies.

Spinnaker Tower

I love these two photos of the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. They were taken during our holiday in 2006. It looks so different by day and by night. A truly stunning building and such a landmark too.

We took the lift to the viewing decks and we all bravely attempted the 'walk of faith' across the glass floor. The weather was truly gorgeous and clear; the view magnificant!

Background card is DCWV and the papers are from the BasicGrey Cupcake range. The little envelope is cut using a Sizzix die which encloses the journalling.

After a hot walk through the woods.... we find a playground.

These photos were taken in 2006 on holiday in Fareham, Hampshire. We were staying on the Caravan Club site at Rookesbury Park. The weather was unbelieveably hot and we thought we'd go through the shade of the woods for a walk. 2 hours later, all of us very hot and tired, we came to a clearing at the top of the hill to find a play park. I can't believe that the kids still had enough energy to play, but they did, before we all had a nice, cooling ice cream. Maisy too!

Papers and embellie bits are from BasicGrey Cupcake range and DCWV. Highlighted the hearts and the ice lolly with Glossy Accents. Ric Rac from stash.

Hello Mojo!

Well, I'm glad to say that my mojo has returned. I feel that it's been hiding for a little while - norty mojo!

I sat down on Friday night determined to make a page and made three pages!

Thanks to Steph's pleading to send me vibes for my mojo to return. Looks like it worked hun!

Background is DCWV white core. Everthing else is from the gorgeous BasicGrey Cupcake collection with the exception of the ribbon which came from Ribbon Mad.

Some cards...

I've been a bizzy lil' bee recently making some cards for friends who have birthdays/anniversaries or babies and have come up with these...

Brenda's anniversary card is made using the gorgeous BasicGrey Two Scoops with ribbon from Ribbon Mad. The lettering is cut using Sizzix Curlie Girlie die which I've then used Glossy Accents on to give it some oomph!

Jayne's birthday card is BasicGrey Two Scoops again (can you tell I'm loving this paper atm?) Again the alphas are from the Sizzix Curlie Girlie dies and embellied up with Glossy Accents.

Lily's card is for my neighbour's daughter who had the most beautiful little girl recently. Congrats Michelle and Ging on your such a gorgeous daughter! Buggered if I can remember where that paper came from as I found it sitting all neglected and wanting to be used! That's even got a rub on which I don't normally use as well. Alphas are Sizzix Curlie Girlie.

Lola is the new daughter of Emma over at the Bubbly Funk Forum. Such a lovely lady. What a wonderful addition to her family Lola will be! She got the Two Scoops treatment too! Ribbon and the flowers from Ribbon Mad. The little elephant embossing die is from Cuttlebug.

On a slightly sadder note, you should never be without a sympathy card or two as tragedy hits us all at some time or another and always when we're not expecting a visit!

The black blooms on these are from Bazzil. The others are from Prima and the swirly 'stem' is cut using a Sizzix die. The stripey, glittered paper is from the DCWV Glitter Stack. Ribbon from Ribbon Mad. Ink pad Stazon
