I've been colouring with my Promarkers

I'm loving my new Promarkers at the mo.

The image came from Lily-Boo's Boutique who very kindly sponsored us on Inspirational Card Sketches a couple of weeks back.

I printed her out larger than I orginally planned for my Design Team card (A4 in fact!) and then wondered what to do with her. So, after I got my Promarkers, I hunted her out of my box and coloured her in!

She's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and I'm sure there are very many, far more talented, Promarker artists than I am out there, but I like her, and she's mine!

Just got to think what to do with her now... any suggestions?

Just a couple...

Remember the photos of Jacob & Freya I posted a few days back? Well I wanted to use them large to create a couple of scrapbook pages. I think that sometimes bigger really is better! HAHA! So I came up with these...

Nowt better than a sort out!

I am in the process of organising my lappy as I'm running VERY short on space. All my photos are therefore moving to my external hard drive.

While doing this, I found these....

They're all made from a wallpaper sample book that Elaine had - gorgeous to work with and so good for covering notebooks too.

I'd forgotten I'd made these AAAAAGESSSSSSS

These 4 were made with my favo Sticky backed plastic from Fablon!

How gorgeous?!

These two are my wonderful children...

Both Will and I are SOOOOO very proud of them both. They have impeccable manners MOST of the time and have never let us down when out in public. They are bright, intelligent, articulate, love the outdoors, eat well and enjoy exercise.

And I loves them both more than life itself.

But, they're growing up far too quickly. Where did my babies go? Who substitued them for a teenager and a gorgeous young lady? Huh?

Answers on a postcard please! LOL

Summer Fayre at School

We held our first every summer fayre at Freya's school on Saturday. The sun shone for us which is always a blessing especially with a British summer, eh?

(You may remember me asking for help {here} a couple of weeks back). Well, the lovely Karen and Nicki were kind enough to send me some goodies to use with the children on my make and take cardmaking stall. The stickers that you both sent to me went down an absolute STORM. So much so in fact that they all but decimated my stock as well as the loads that you sent down. They were all so creative and had such a great time. Anyhoo... the stall raised £16 for the school.

Our goal was to raise £400 which we thought would be a realistic amount for our first event. We only formed our Parents Association in April of this year and to hold our first event just over 2 months later, we think was a fantastic achievment.

We raised....... £1026.87 and we think that there is still more to come in. Just how amazing is that figure? We couldn't have done it, of course, without the help and support of some of the parents, teachers and teaching assistance at the school, not to mention our dinner ladies. The hubbies were fantastic, helping out where needed too (beat the goalie, slam dunk basket ball, photography etc). We even managed to get the most amazing Zac Effron look a like and (even though before I Googled him, I didn't know exactly who Zac Effron was - sorry!) he was an amazing likeness. The girls (and some of the boys) queued to have their photos taken with him. We managed to get over 200 people through the gates in the 3 hours that we held the Fayre. Even the Police and the Fire Brigade arrived with their vehicles. We've now got to think of what else we can do to keep the momentum going... any ideas?

Wedding Anniversary

I'm having a bit of a catch up as I've not done any proper posting for a few days. All the new stuff had been scheduled as I knew I'd be really busy this past week & weekend.

Anyhoo.... Will and I celebrated our 21st Wedding Anniversary on Thursday. 21 years married!!! Can you believe it, I must have been all of 7 when I walked down the aisle by my estimate (I wish, HAHA!) We celebrated being together as a couple for 25 years in April of this year.

We've grown up together, become parents together and (hopefully) will grow old together too.

I luvs him ya know! Except that the git wrote my anniversary card all in French and made me translate it if I wanted to know what it all meant! What an old romantic!

Rosie-Dee's Challenges - No.42

It's a new month, therefore it's a new theme over on Rosie-Dee's. Not only that but our FANTASTIC Design Team join us for the very first time! We are in awe of their talent and thank the 8 of them for wanting to join us.

We also see our very first ever Guest Designer for the month of July. Lots of you will know her work, but to see exactly WHO it is, you'll have to pop over and see this talented lady's work for yourself!

Saturday, 4 July 2009

The challenge over on Rosie-Dee's this week was to use the colours of Black & White. I had a wedding card to do and thought that this would be an unusual colour combo to use.

Materials:
White A5 card.
Black card: The Works.
White fineline pen: Sakura.
Fine black pen: Stabilo.
White/black flocked sticky backed plastic: Fablon.
Ribbon: Ribbon Mad.
Butterfly: Die cut on the Craft Robo.
Flowers: Prima.
Brad: Stash.

Can you help please...?

This post will remain at the top of my blog until 4th July. Please scroll down to see new posts. Thank you.

I am a member of the Danesholme Junior School Parents Association in Corby. We are holding our first ever Summer Fayre on Saturday 4th July in order to raise funds for the school.

What I'd like to ask all those lovely crafters out there is for a little help please. Can you donate any cards or gifts that we could sell to raise those much needed funds?

I'm running a craft stall and also a 'make and take' stall for the children to have a go at crafting their own cards, so anything such as peel offs and basic crafting items like embellishments that you no longer use/need would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Please Email Me for further information or for my address to send your kind donations to.

Thank you so much for your time taken to read my message and thank you to those who help out.

X

HUGE thanks go to Karen and Nicki for their kind and extremely generous donations of the following:

Look what we grew...

We've taken a bit of mum and dad's garden over for a veggie plot so that we can eat the fruits (well, ok, the veggies) of our labour. It's not a huge plot in the scheme of the size of mum and dad's garden and how much dad grew when we were kids, but it'll provide enough food for mum and dad and us to enjoy.

Mum and dad were away at the weekend, so I went down to do some weeding and to liberate some veggies for dinner and came back with these...

There were more than 3 pea pods, honest! But I LOVE raw peas straight from the pod so I snaffled them ;-)

Not only did I come home with loads of taters, I got carrots, peas, radishes and 2 HUGE courgettes too! (these'll be used in some yummy roast veggies this week). AND... I boiled some fresh beetroot that I pulled. These are now sitting in vinegar pickling away! Can't wait!

We had the veg with a cabbage that dad cut for me in the week. Home grown, organic and wonderfully tasty! Can't beat it!

Ooh, do you like my arty piccies btw? HAHA
