2 Sketches 4 You - bonus sketch

Ewonne set the bonus sketch over on 2 Sketches for You. I like the simplicity of this sketch so decided to use it as a frame with a bit of doodling.

Materials:
White 5 1/4" square card.
Chipboard frame & circle: I think it's from Sassafras but as the packaging is no more, I can't be sure.
Blooms: Dunelm & Aunty Sarah's.
Ribbon: Stash.
Pins: Ebay.
Fine line brown pen: Stabilo.
Letter stickers: Making Memories.

Laura's sketch 24

Laura set the sketch over on 2 Sketches 4 You, and it's a lovely sketch too.

I made a square card for my take on the sketch but changed the orientation of the backing strips by 90 degrees.

Materials:
White 5 1/4" square card.
Papers: BasicGrey Urban Prairie.
Bloom: Dunelm.
Chipboard sentiment: WRMK.

Tribute Page

When we were on holiday in Portsmouth in 2006, we came across these two bronze statues. One of the 'Unknown Solider' and the other of 'Monty'. These are my tributes to those soldiers who lost their lives so that we may live in peace today and to 'Monty' who led our troups to victory in World War II, despite far too many of our guys being lost in battle.

Black background is Bazzill, the rub ons and journalling tags were from Fancy Pants, blooms from Dunelm and Prima.

Daring Card Makers

Mum's recipe...
This weeks little extra doesn't have to be for any specific occasion but you do have to follow a reciepe. Two buttons, one ribbon and a 'spoonful' of flowers.....! Put all the ingredients together and bake in a craft room until complete !

Paper is BasicGrey Two Scoops. Two buttons from stash. one ribbon is from Ribbon Mad and is cut into two. Spoonful of flowers are from Dunelm and Prima. Gems from stash. Rub on from Papermania.

I am woman!
It's Lythan here. As ever we are blown away by all your wonderful contributions. It makes our day to see how creative and ready to be challenged you are!

As its coming up to Mothers day in the UK here’s a chance to make a card that celebrates women and girls . So I’d like to see a card with at least one feminine image on it . And that's it for rules really.
Apart from this one.
And it is sneaky.
No Tildas, Sugar Nellies or Bellas please. I love them all. But there are loads of great challenges out there using them so for this challenge you can give them a well earned rest!

The stamp was from a RAK from Leann which I coloured with H20 lookie likies. Paper is BasicGrey Two Scooops. Ribbon is Ribbon Mad. Rub on is Paper Mania. Gems from stash. Blooms from Prima

Birthday Book

I was asked to make a book for a friend's mum's 80th birthday and a folder of old photographs duly arrived along with a few notes on personal details and colour preferences etc.

Very reluctant to use the original photos dating back to 1948, I scanned them all in and had a quick play using PSE6. I didn't want to make them perfect so that they retained their aged character. I added text over the top of some of the photos before I printed them out.

The album cover papers were from DCWV with all internal patterned papers coming from Paper Mania. Embellishments were from Prima, Dunelm, We Are Memory Keepers, Ribbon Mad, Autumn Leaves (Rhonna Farrer) and Stamps Away.

Birthday Blog Candy

This is what I made for my Birthday blog candy. Sam's name was drawn using the random thingy. I made her a little album book to keep her CD's in. Crafty, music or otherwise.

Ribbons are from Ribbon Mad. Blooms from Bubbly Funk and Dunelm. Monogram is BasicGrey which I've heat embossed. Papers are DCWV. Stamped letters are Amuse.

Di Hickman - February Sketch #3

My penultimate week as Guest Sketch Team Member for Di Hickman has this to show you...

The purple card is DCWV White core which I've distressed around the edges. The bloom is from Dunelm. The stamp came free with a magazine a year or so ago, but I'm afraid I can't remember which (sorry!). I've watercoloured the stamp.

Diaries - 2008

These were once plain, basic, black covered diaries. They're now slightly more feminine.

One is a week to a day to keep track of my crafty commitments etc, the other is a page a day for work.

Papers are DCWV, the blooms are from Dunelm. Alphas cut with Sizzix Curlie Girlie and the swirl is from Bubbly Funk.

Altered Calendar

Received a rather boring calendar for next year the other day at work. I mean, look at it?! It was just itching to be altered, and who was I to be so rude as to ignore it's little plea to make it nice...? LOL

Papers are SEI Hippie Chick, bloom from Dunelm, flowers from Prima. Alphas cut using the Sizzix Curlie Girlie font.

Scrapbook picture

My sister's birthday is coming up so I've decided to scrap a page for her which I've backed onto a 12"x12" canvas so she can hang it as a picture.

The photographs are of my two children (her only niece and nephew) and her grandaughter taken at my other sister's wedding last month.

Backing card: Paper Mania
White/Pink torn paper: Stash - had it too long to remember where it came from
Tulip card: SEI Doodley Doo Girl - Totally Tublips
Blooms: Dunelm
Button: Stash
