Tagged - again!

My bubbly friends Janice and Kaz have tagged me to answer the following...

1. If you could have £100 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose? I would have to go for the embellishments. I love blooms, buttons and brads at the mo. I've got loads of papers although there are always new ones that I'd like to have. In the embellishments I would also like to have die cutting and embossing folders to MAKE embellishments if that counts too please.

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rubons, which would you choose? Has to be stamps as i don't get on too well with rub ons, I prefer Safmat.

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year...which would you do? It would have to be cards I'm afraid, although I dabble in scrapbooking, I like to share my art with others.

4. Would you rather own a scrapbooking store or have your own scrapping room at home...(can't have both he he he) How cruel is this question???!!! I would want both of course, but if I had to make the choice it has to be my own room, where I could put my chill out music on low, close the door to the world and just play to my heart's content. Owning the store would be too cruel - all that stash and not enough time to play with it...

5. And last but not least, what is your CURRENT cardmaking or scrapping style. I like feminine, flowers, white base cards and a tinty bit of glitz.

So that more peeps can be tagged and not to hog all the lovely bloggers, I'm only going to tag one and that's Di

I've been tagged by Caroline

Seven random facts about myself.......

Scrapbook picture

My sister's birthday is coming up so I've decided to scrap a page for her which I've backed onto a 12"x12" canvas so she can hang it as a picture.

The photographs are of my two children (her only niece and nephew) and her grandaughter taken at my other sister's wedding last month.

Backing card: Paper Mania
White/Pink torn paper: Stash - had it too long to remember where it came from
Tulip card: SEI Doodley Doo Girl - Totally Tublips
Blooms: Dunelm
Button: Stash

I won, I won, I won...!

Been feeling really bleugh recently and need to go back to the docs for some more tests but was excited when I read the Bubbly Funk forum this afternoon to be referred to the DCM site where I found out I won the Circle of Friends dare (don't be too impressed that I won, my name was picked out at random!) Am off to email my address to Kathy now! Woo Hoo! I never win anything!

THANKS Daring Card Makers, you cheered me up so much today!

My camera is here.......

Couriers pah! They supposedly left a card at work for me when they tried to delivery my new camera yesterday at 8.45am (invisible card as it was!). I managed to get hold of the courier at 5.45pm last night and arranged to collect it this morning, so off I went down the A14 to the depot to collect my replacement toy and it's now with me in my grubby little hands (well I say MY hands but Will is sitting on the sofa next to me playing with MY new toy! - but seeing as he is the house camera expert I best leave him alone to set it up for me properly.

I've managed to take a few photos with it already and am so pleased to have my own camera again. I nipped to Jessops earlier to buy the UV filter to protect the lens and a spare battery which is now charged up and in my new bag that Will got for me (my very own little Lowepro camera backpack - a mini version of his £££££ one!)

We're off out tomorrow morning once the beef is in the oven roasting slowly to take some photos, Will, me and Freya with our cameras and Jacob bored and moaning no doubt (he doesn't do photography as he says he doesn't have the patience).

Have you ever noticed that you really miss what you once had? I have seen so many photo opportunities lately but as I've not had a camera for 3 weeks I've not been able to take them. I normally take my camera pretty much everywhere I go. I will again now!

Right off to photograph my latest DCM now ready to blog. Catch ya later.

I'm soooo looking forward to tomorrow!

I spoke to our insurance company again yesterday afternoon and had to email them a scan of the original receipt for my camera that we bought after Easter (to replace my 9 month old camera that the kids broke when they dropped it). They rang me back last night to confirm that they've received it, took my card details to pay the excess and told me that our claim had been approved and my new camera should be with me tomorrow!!!!

How come when you're used to having something around whenever you need it, regardless of whether you use it daily or not, as soon as you don't have it you NEED it! I am so used to having a camera with me every day, that I've missed it not being there. Bit like an addiction I suppose.

There are so many autumnal photo opportunities that I see while I'm driving round that I can't take that I seem to have photographic withdrawal symptoms at the moment.

Will has promised that we're all going out at the weekend with cameras in hand (except Jacob who is so not into photography, despite his dad's obvious talent) to take some golden autumnal shots. We haven't told Freya yet but she'll be excited too when she finds out.

And on the note of Freya and photography. Will has created an album in Photobox for her own photos and is getting them all printed up for her. I just need to sort out a physical album to put them in for her now. I can't believe that at 6 years of age she can take photos that many adults are not capable of taking.

Watch this space, I can't wait to blog some autumn photos.
